Crown The Cow with The Butterflies
2014/2012
In 2012 I went to a secluded island in the Indian Ocean and found during a stroll, the skeleton of a cow. I brought the skull back to my home. After an examination, I noticed that the right side (horn, maxilla and nasal bone) was stunned by concussion, suggesting that the animal had been slaughtered.
The series of works questions the theme of death and resurrection and is an attempt to explore the inner beauty of the disembodied and the transience through a minimalist approach.
